One of our asbestos removal clients has progressed through to the second stage of a local authority tender in Warwickshire, thanks to the PQQ writing and support services of our in-house tender experts.
Our highly-specialist team showcased the client’s robust health and safety procedures when dealing with the extremely hazardous material, which is a prime concern for the contracting authority. The PQQ submission, evidenced with business collateral, highlighted and alleviated their concerns, with staff training in the safe disposal of asbestos, as well as the safeguarding of ALL people, including the local public, taking focus.
Asbestos is one of the world's deadliest materials, which still claims in excess of 2,000 lives each year in the UK alone. This is due to the inhalation of fibres, which can lie dormant for many years.
Our bid-management team also highlighted that the client is currently working with a variety of local authorities and registered providers, to remove asbestos safely from public buildings, which, until the early 1980s had long been used in construction as a form of insulation.
Thornton & Lowe is already using its wealth of experience, working with the client on the Invitation to Tender (ITT), which will be due for submission in the coming weeks.
Thornton & Lowe works with a range of clients to help them through the tender process.
