BBC seeking contractor for £15 million contract to rebuild EastEnders set

Sep 29, 2016

The BBC has untitledissued a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) to find a contractor, who will be responsible for replacing the current timber set with a permanent structure. The contract will run for 26 months, with the potential to extend for a further two years, and involves creating a copy of the current set at the BBC’s Elstree Centre in Borehamwood, Herefordshire. The new £15m set will have a more ‘authentic’ East London feel and be built with the high-quality materials required. Up to five contractors are expected to be shortlisted. Contractors have until October 14 to express an interest in the project with full details available here. Read the article here.
