Massive news this week is the alleged errors made by the Department of Transport with the handling of the West Coast Main Line rail franchise.
There has been so many other reports in the press where indications are made that the government are tightening up their procurement procedures. It is a shame to see such a high profile example of where the procurement process has failed.
It will be intereesting to see how this case affects all present and future governement tendering, and how it will impact the procurement processes for other public sector bodies.
