The Guardian published an article this week in which it reported that the government wanted to proactively seeking to engage SMEs in the procurement process.
The government stated that they want to increase the involvement with SMEs, and also commented that they recognise that, to get the most benefit, full appreciation of the SME marketplace is required.
There is clearly more work required, but this spells good news for SMEs bidding for public sector contracts.
