The UK government are seeking submissions from Law firms for slots on its restructured legal panel. The £400 million tender will be awarded for an initial period of 2 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
The panel will be divided into 2 tiers; it is anticipated 12 tier one and 6 tier two suppliers will be appointed. Tier one suppliers will be awarded the work in the first instance.
The procurement will be conducted in three stages
Stage 1 - Eligibility (Eligibility Questionnaire) - Potential providers will be required to complete an Eligibility Questionnaire
Stage 2 - Suitability (Suitability Questionnaire and Stage 2 Pricing) - Potential providers will be required to complete a Suitability Questionnaire which includes the submission of two case studies and a stage 2 Pricing Matrix together forming the ‘stage 2 Tender Submission’
Stage 3 - Compatibility (Compatibility Meeting and Stage 3 Pricing) - Potential providers will be required to attend a stage 3 Compatibility Meeting and submit a stage 3 Pricing Matrix
Panel slots are expected to be awarded to successful applicants on 21st February 2017.
The panel will be complemented by the procurement of a secondary panel for lower-value legal services. This will be open to panel customers and the wider public sector, accommodating low-value and low-volume transactions.
