One of our long-standing repairs and maintenance clients has been successfully awarded a place onto a prestigious framework agreement for South Tyneside Council, thanks to the tender-writing support of Thornton & Lowe.
The framework, which saw the client come second, will give them the opportunity to enter into ‘mini competitions’ to provide reactive repair and annual servicing/maintenance of electrical, gas and combination catering equipment.
South Tyneside Council currently spends approximately £47,000 on the service, and with the framework initially lasting two years, it will give the client a potential earning of £94,000. There will also be an option to extend for a further two.
Our in-house team of bid-management professionals have a wealth of expertise in this sector, and provided writing and guidance to highlight the client’s proven track record in delivering the same services to a range of other public-sector clients.
Working with gas and electricity is a dangerous area, so the team, as well as the client, had to evidence their robust approach to health & safety, as well as the raft of accreditations they have, including Gas Safe, Construction Line, Building and Engineering Services Association, as well as the Electrical Contractors’ Association, to add weight to their submission.
