In the last 1 months we have been seeing a lot of press on the focus on improving public sector procurement. We've just been reading an interesting article highlighting an example of how a council in Scotland has really improved over the last few years. Much of the focus for any council
be on cost savings; a focus shared by everyone. To achieve the savings, council's need to really tighten up their procurement exercises and strategies - which ultimately affect the seller. This will mean, ideally, a much more accessible and transparent tender process. We also expect thresholds to be reviewed and amended to provide tighter control on spending, which will, hopefully, mean more tender opportunities.
