We have a phrase - "tender ready". This phrase lends itself to every business wanting to tender successfully and is all about being prepared. We will often blog about how tenders are a daunting prospect and how there is always a temptation to procrastinate when completing a tender.
Being tender ready means having everything in place ready for when the next PQQ/ITT opportunity comes along. Things to consider include ensuring that you have all your policies in place and up to date; ensuring all of your accreditations and certificates are up to date; ensuring you have recent evidence of customer satisfaction results at hand; and ensuring you have all of your work processes in place.
It might sound like a lot to consider, but time getting "tender ready" is definitely value added time
