One valuable piece of the jigsaw to a successful tender are your references. It might sound obvious but at Thornton & Lowe, we frequently see tenders with poor references in them. The references are vital as they are a direct link for the buyer to find out how good you are, plus it's also a chance to show off.
When writing your tender, you will often be asked for 3 references. When choosing your references make sure:
1)They are recent;
2)They are for work/services similar to those that you are tendering for; and
3)They are the best references possible (think about clients that you are proud to show off about).
