UKUPC Framework Overview
As a group these organisations had £1.3bn spend through their frameworks in the last 12 months. They have a combined 112 frameworks, with 30 new or retendered frameworks each year. These frameworks include 180 SME suppliers, so if you are a supplier to the higher education sector or have aspirations to work in the sector they really are a critical path to success and business growth.
While you need to refer to the specific purchasing consortiums above in order to source their frameworks and opportunities, UKUPC provides procurement strategy, guidance and training to both public sector buyers and suppliers. UKUPC – the role of an Awarded Supplier
What is important to remember when you are successfully awarded onto a framework is that you are now part of select group of suppliers who will receive opportunities others in your sector will not.
However, the framework still has to be ‘worked’, by which I mean sales and marketing. You may notice many suppliers who focus on the public sector have specific sales or account manager roles purely for key frameworks, which allows them to maximise the potential that the framework can offer.
Several UKUPC partners have advertising packages, to get your details in front of their education clients, you will also be provided with a contact list so you can promote your services as approved suppliers for framework XX. You should engage with UKUPC and their consortium partners by sharing good news stories and case studies of what you have achieved for their members and clients.
